Key differences

The XCVM2502 has about 31% more logic capacity (1440K vs 1096K LUT4 equivalents).

They use different logic architectures: the A5D 160 is built from ALMs and the XCVM2502 from LUT6, so the raw LUT counts (548K vs 900K) are not directly comparable.

For arithmetic, the A5D 160 has 4,968 variable-precision DSP blocks against 3,984 DSP Engines on the XCVM2502.

The XCVM2502 has more on-chip memory (237 Mb vs 156.4 Mb).

Both have transceivers: 48 at up to 28 Gb/s on the A5D 160 and 16 at up to 32.75 Gb/s on the XCVM2502.

The A5D 160 is designed with Altera Quartus Prime and the XCVM2502 with AMD Vivado.
