Key differences

Both devices offer similar logic capacity: 445K and 461K LUT4 equivalents.

They use different logic architectures: the A5E 065A is built from ALMs and the MPFS460T from LUT4, so the raw LUT counts (222K vs 461K) are not directly comparable.

For arithmetic, the MPFS460T has 1,420 18×18 math blocks (MACC) against 846 variable-precision DSP blocks on the A5E 065A.

Both have transceivers: 24 at up to 28 Gb/s on the A5E 065A and 20 at up to 12.5 Gb/s on the MPFS460T.

Configuration memory: sram on the A5E 065A, non-volatile (sonos flash) on the MPFS460T.

The A5E 065A is designed with Altera Quartus Prime and the MPFS460T with Microchip Libero SoC.
