Key differences

The GX 1100 has about 28% more logic capacity (899K vs 704K LUT4 equivalents).

They use different logic architectures: the GX 1100 is built from ALMs and the XCVU31P from LUT6, so the raw LUT counts (449K vs 440K) are not directly comparable.

For arithmetic, the XCVU31P has 2,880 DSP slices against 2,592 variable-precision DSP blocks on the GX 1100.

Both have transceivers: 48 at up to 28.3 Gb/s on the GX 1100 and 32 at up to 32.75 Gb/s on the XCVU31P.

The GX 1100 is designed with Altera Quartus Prime and the XCVU31P with AMD Vivado.
