Key differences

Both devices offer similar logic capacity: 899K and 962K LUT4 equivalents.

They use different logic architectures: the GX 1100 is built from ALMs and the XCVU5P from LUT6, so the raw LUT counts (449K vs 601K) are not directly comparable.

For arithmetic, the XCVU5P has 3,474 DSP slices against 2,592 variable-precision DSP blocks on the GX 1100.

The XCVU5P has more on-chip memory (168.2 Mb vs 107 Mb).

Both have transceivers: 48 at up to 28.3 Gb/s on the GX 1100 and 80 at up to 32.75 Gb/s on the XCVU5P.

The GX 1100 is designed with Altera Quartus Prime and the XCVU5P with AMD Vivado.
