Key differences

The LFE5UM-45 has about 15% more logic capacity (44K vs 38.4K LUT4 equivalents).

They use different logic architectures: the LFE5UM-45 is built from LUT4 and the XCSU45P from LUT6, so the raw LUT counts (44K vs 24K) are not directly comparable.

For arithmetic, the XCSU45P has 96 DSP slices against 72 18×18 multipliers on the LFE5UM-45.

The XCSU45P has more on-chip memory (2.5 Mb vs 1.9 Mb).

Both have transceivers: 4 at up to 3.2 Gb/s on the LFE5UM-45 and 4 at up to 16.3 Gb/s on the XCSU45P.

The LFE5UM-45 is designed with Lattice Diamond and the XCSU45P with AMD Vivado.
