Key differences

Both devices offer similar logic capacity: 256K and 240K LUT4 equivalents.

They use different logic architectures: the SX 400 is built from ALMs and the XCVM1102 from LUT6, so the raw LUT counts (128K vs 150K) are not directly comparable.

For arithmetic, the SX 400 has 648 variable-precision DSP blocks against 464 DSP Engines on the XCVM1102.

The XCVM1102 has more on-chip memory (49 Mb vs 30 Mb).

Both have transceivers: 24 at up to 28.3 Gb/s on the SX 400 and 8 at up to 32.75 Gb/s on the XCVM1102.

The SX 400 is designed with Altera Quartus Prime and the XCVM1102 with AMD Vivado.
