Highlighted values are higher. LUT counts are shown as published; the LUT4 equivalent is an approximation to compare different LUT types, see how FPGA vendors count logic. Add up to two more devices to this comparison.

Key differences

Both devices offer similar logic capacity: 166K and 174K LUT4 equivalents.

They use different logic architectures: the 5AGZE1 is built from ALMs and the XCAU20P from LUT6, so the raw LUT counts (83K vs 109K) are not directly comparable.

For arithmetic, the XCAU20P has 900 DSP slices against 800 variable-precision DSP blocks on the 5AGZE1.

The 5AGZE1 has more on-chip memory (11.4 Mb vs 7 Mb).

Both have transceivers: 24 at up to 12.5 Gb/s on the 5AGZE1 and 12 at up to 32.75 Gb/s on the XCAU20P.

The 5AGZE1 is designed with Altera Quartus Prime and the XCAU20P with AMD Vivado.
